Back to the past on the road of my childhood holidays, eleven years spent in Valtellina, and the last ones I pedaled some of these roads with my little bike!!!
A one-day trip on a road less pedaled, a great climb, not famous as the Stelvio, different from a classic alpine pass, but always amazing. The last kilometers before the medieval Frail's Towers are an incredible succession of hairpins, two tunnels into the rocks, the towers on the right and the gravel road to the Cancano Lakes, two artificial lakes created with the construction of a dam.
Down on this road and back to the towers, three hairpins down and a turn right on another beautiful gravel road, the Decauville, a 9.7 km flat road on the side of the mountain, great landscapes and memories of the childhood riding this road as it was the hardest one...
A short ride in the mountains, no traffic, some off-road...simply fantastic!!!
